On the weekend of June 24-26, Grand County Blues Society in Winter Park, CO will host the 20th Anniversary of Blues from the Top (BFTT) celebrating with a 3-day festival at the Rendezvous Event Center featuring Gov’t Mule, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Tab Benoit, plus many more.
The outdoor festival vibe is unlike any other in the country. Centrally located in downtown Winter Park, CO BFTT has grown into a truly unique and welcoming blues and roots music event nestled below the Continental Divide and iconic Colorado ridge lines. Of course, while the views and energy around the event alone can draw you in, headliner acts including Gov’t Mule and Southern Avenue on Friday, Saturday with Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Larkin Poe, Sue Foley, Eddie 9V and Emma Marie Band, then Sunday ending with a bang with Tab Benoit, Charlie Musslewhite, Southern Hospitality featuring Damon Fowler, Victor Wainwright & J.P. Soars, and Bette Smith are sure to make it an even more memorable weekend!
Tickets are now available, including both VIP – with prime seating, and private bar – and General Admission on the beautiful grassy knoll. Kids under 12 are free (General Admission, only) with an adult ticket purchase. As always, buy early for the best price.
It goes without saying, that this musical event could not happen without the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS). Established in 2002, the non-profit (501c3) organization works to promote “The Blues” by providing educational events and hosting live performances featuring blues musicians. BFTT is one of several fundraising events led by GCBS and this year’s primary beneficiary is Blue Star Connection, an organization aimed at providing instruments to over 80 Children’s Hospitals to help support music therapy departments and initiatives.
Mark your calendars, grab your tickets and get ready for an incredible show!
