Yes, you read that right. The band Papa Roach and Five Finger Death Punch were in Colorado Springs for a performance, however they decided they also wanted to get a taste of the great outdoors in Colorado Springs.
Instead of staying cooped up in a hotel room, the musicians wanted to spend their off days exploring the city. While the bands are on tour, they like to do this in every city they visit, and share their findings and experience with their followers. In Colorado Springs, they wanted the experience related to the outdoors and adventure, so where else to go but Garden of the Gods Park.
Garden of the Gods was voted the number one park to visit in 2014 by TripAdvisor, and the park welcomes two million visitors a year.
Three members of Papa Roach, Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance and Five Finger Death Punch bassist Chris Kael were assisted by guides from the Front Range Climbing Company as they ascended up the red walls in the Garden of the Gods. This was the first climbing experience for all participants involved, and understandably were a little intimidated, but they enjoyed the unique experience.
The musicians ended their experience by playing at The Broadmoor World Arena, and will have a video sharing their experiences they’ve had while on tour. However, members of both bands have already used different social media platforms to share their adventure in Colorado Springs with fans. Papa Roach’s tweet sums up the experience quite well in 160 characters or less.
