I’ve never been to Brasil before and I’m excited to see what the landscape will be like in Bahia. One thing is certain, it will be different from any place I’ve been, and it will be summer!
I pulled all these photos off the race website. If you missed, it’s https://brasilride.com.br/site/Home?en. They will be posting results here along with updating their twitter account if you want to keep and eye on Jeff and myself.
Tent city will be home away from home every night.
This is where you stick the knife in.
Desert…. interesting.
I’ll try to keep my head up during the race so I can take it all in…and not be cross-eyed, staring at the ground in front of me and sweating and grunting like a wildebeest.
This will most likely be my last blog post until I get back on November 20. I won’t be bringing my computer since I’ll be staying in a tent for most of the time. The race officially starts on November 14-this Saturday. I’ll be back with photos, stories of adventure, trial of the mind/body/spirit, peaks, valleys, dirt, culture, and hopefully NO mechanicals, and if we are strong and lucky – a podium shot or two. See you on the other side!
