It’s not often that I’m going to schmooze any kind of online contest, but this one is worth checking out. Blog Your Way Around the World is an essay contest where you can win 8 (!) trips for 2 people (!!) to some of the coolest destinations in the world! Enter a short 400 word essay, get your friends to vote and voila that’s it. There’s also a bunch of cool gear you can win besides the main prize. Not bad.
I wish I could enter but I’ve traveled with one of the companies, Natural Habitat Adventures, on their polar bear tours as a journalist a few years back. However if you win and you’re so grateful I shared this wonderful link with you, I’d be glad to be your plus one anywhere you may roam!
Just seeing some of the pictures on the Blog Your Way Around the World site is getting me antsy to go afar and explore. I love Colorado and could easily spend a lifetime exploring our humble state; in fact that’s the plan. But every now and then it’s good for the soul to run a river in another country or trek in the remote reaches of the planet. It’s even better of you can do it for free (or as an assignment). I’m already brewing ideas in my head for the next big non-Colorado adventure… hmmm…
