Full details aren’t yet in, but 303Cycling.com is reporting that yet another cyclist has been hit by a motorist, this time in Deer Creek Canyon. Details are few at this point, but a small group of cyclists reports that the driver approached from the rear, began honking, and then intentionally rammed the group, pulling Byron Nix, a masters state champion in Colorado, under the vehicle and destroying his bicycle. Injuries are yet to be determined.
I’ll follow the story and relay information…the driver stuck around the crash, but was remorseless. He swore at the cyclists, threw Nix’s bike to the side of the road after pulling it from beneath his truck.
