The weather gurus say it will snow on the Diamond later in the week and I’m writing this in jeans. Yes! Gotta say, our window of hot weather crushed me this summer, so I’m not sorry to see 90-plus-degree temps go for the year.
While taking an early-morning walk with Luca, Dominic, and Rebel, a guy on roller skis skated by. I said, “Is it that time of year already?” to which he replied with a smile, “Oh yeah!”
I can’t say I’m going to do any roller skiing, but I was psyched to see him focused on the upcoming snow season, too.
I’ll be finishing off a monster skin-test this fall, with BCA, G3, BD, and Dynafit skins to try. I’m hoping to get the latest models of BCA and Mystery Ranch ABS packs to try, as well. Each of the past three seasons I’ve wondered why we’re not all skiing in airbag packs…and perhaps this is the year I add one to the arsenal. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, hope you are enjoying your end-of-summer. Looks like the Diamond season has probably past, but who knows, maybe I’ll finally get up there and climb the thing. Courage and god willing!
