Believe it or not the Telluride Wine Festival has been sipping the goods for more than a decade. Each year they’ve gone a little bigger and this June 25-26 the ante gets upped with live music featuring Devotchka, Blitzen Trapper, Jackie Greene, and a bunch of other mountain-grass howl-at-the-moon musicians.
More and more youthful, athletic folks go each year and festival proselytizer, Matt Lanning, says, “Get in a ride, come home and shower up, go wine tasting, then listen to music all night. It’s the perfect party!”
Lanning’s a born-and-raised native of Telluride, so I count his endorsement as credible.
Me? Oh, don’t get me in trouble now…with twins due late June/early July, I think I’ll have to sit this year out…but you should go…and let me know how it is!
