For years I’ve been visiting Red Rock(s) outside Vegas, for the world-class climbing and gorgeous scenery. I’ve not been lucky enough to see a full spring bloom…until this past week. The Sierras are still getting feet of snow and there’s been a bit of moisture left over for the desert…to our benefit.
We did two great days of climbing, hitting the Lotta Balls cliff and the Panty crag. We also ate at the Lotus of Siam, the single greatest Thai restaurant in North America. Lord and savior, that is some GOOD FOOD.
Red Rock(s) is passing into the too-hot-to-climb season, so get out there quick-smart or plan a trip for the fall. It’s a special place.
