Single Speed Worlds–Good Luck JHK and Heather

At time of writing, it’s 11 days, 9 hours and change until single-speed worlds in New Zealand. Boulder riders Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski and Heather Irmiger (the husband-wife uberduo) will travel there to represent. Heather is defending champ and Jeremy’s a good bet for a podium. Last year he was running second until a mechanical took him out. Travis Brown, a former Boulderite, was winning the ’09 edition ahead of JHK, until he crashed out. Bummer!

Here’s GOOD LUCK to all the American riders…hell, to everyone. It’s a big party, so forget national ambitions and let’s just say “best to all!”

I’ll try to post pics of the winners…and the legendary tattoo ceremony post-event. Indeed–winners get a tattoo to commemorate the event! Just ask Heather…she’s sporting ink from last year’s win. Onward!
