The Challenge of the White Death

Well, my sister got some blood-work done and the docs didn’t like the look of her insulin/sugar metabolism. She’s had to cut back on high-glycemic foods (fruit juices, simple sugars, candy, the works) and they say to exercise more consistently. She and I got to talking and push came to shove…and I threw down the gauntlet: no sugar, first one to crack cedes eternal bragging rights to the other.

I’m sure many of you out there have given up sugar, wheat, dairy, whatever. Drop me a line and tell me how it’s gone. I’m three hours and 20 minutes into The Challenge and so far, so good.

My hands are shaking, though. And it’s 50 degrees out. What could be wrong? Oh yeah, my bachelor party’s coming up…wait! I’ll just have to replace the sugar with other substances…hydrogenated oils?

Think not–pics from the desert and Vegas to follow.
