“Girl Crush” tells the story of skiers Mali Noyes, Nicole Jorgenson, Lani Bruntz, and Mary McIntyre heading out on a winter camping trip for five days of ski mountaineering in the Tetons with Exum Guide, mother, and ski industry legend, Jessica Baker. With ambitious plans, a perfect weather forecast, and plenty of time to explore from their basecamp, what could go wrong?!
“We were all so excited to learn from Jess because she has so much experience in the backcountry as a skier and guide,” says McIntyre. “She had so much insight to share, but she also wanted everyone to have a role in the decision-making and a chance to be a leader.”
This 13-minute short film showcases the group dealing with complex decisions concerning avalanche conditions, unexpected weather, wild animal encounters, and the usual cold and wet realities of winter camping.
