10 Things We’re Thankful For In Colorado

This holiday season, we get to say thanks to all the loved ones that mean so much to us. This year, don’t forget to say thanks to the beautiful state we all get to enjoy. Colorado, this one’s for you.

We’re thankful for:

10. The fact that we get to enjoy four distinct seasons. Yes, sometimes summer forgets that it’s June and we get an occasional snow storm but that’s what keeps us on our toes.

9. Places like Eagle are passing illumination standards that prevent street lamps and personal lights from having too much glare. The light needs to be focused downward so people can look up at night and marvel at the stars without being blinded by a street light.

8. All the craft beer.

7. Powder days. Better than Christmas, better than turkey, pretty much the best thing on Earth.

6. Our big, natural playground. We have so many toys that we get to use all year in Colorado. Whether it’s skis, mountain bikes, SUP, Colorado’s playground is the most fun playground around.

5. The toys mentioned above that can and do usually cost more than a car but who cares, they’re more fun anyways.

4.The dog heaven Colorado provides us with. In Colorado, our dogs are treated the same as people and it’s great, not to mention the wide open spaces where we get to let our dogs roam free.

3. The fact that we can go from wearing a t-shirt to a full on winter jacket all in one day. This means that puffy jackets, sweaters, tank tops, etc. are always in season.

2. Open space with no cell service. When we truly need to escape, sometimes all we have to do is go out our front door. Colorado provides us with beautiful scenery that we can soak in without the nuisance and constant buzzing of our cellphones and the pure silence and beauty can probably cure almost anything.

1. Being able to call this place home. Let’s keep protecting our state so we can continue to be thankful for these things and more.
