The Breck Film Festival, one of the most anticipated annual mountain cultural events of the fall and renowned for its diverse and captivating film selections, will take place September 19-22, 2024, across three different venues in Breckenridge during what could be prime fall colors.
Themed “More Film. Less Air” for 2024, The Breck Film Fest not only coincides with fall foliage but offers attendees a unique opportunity to experience world-class cinema against Breck’s stunning high alpine backdrop and limitless outdoor activities. Films are shown throughout historic Breckenridge at the beloved Eclipse Theater just steps from the Blue River, at The Riverwalk Center (home of the annual CAIC fundraiser), and at the Breckenridge Theater on the award-winning Breckenridge Arts District campus.
“The Breck Film Festival is more than just a celebration of film; it’s an immersion into the beauty of Colorado’s autumn,” said Cynthia Gordon, president of Breck Film Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to welcome guests during this magical time in Breckenridge.”
The festival is known as “the filmmaker’s festival,” showcasing independent films in various genres and hosting filmmakers from all over the world. Recognized by USA Today as a Top 20 Film Festival, it’s one of the few small regional festivals that can attract more than 40 filmmakers each year. In addition to enjoying a diverse array of films, festival-goers can partake in events including panel discussions, filmmaker Q&As, and exclusive screenings. This year’s lineup, to be announced in early September, promises to deliver thought-provoking and inspiring content for film buffs from both established and emerging filmmakers.
Early-bird passes will be available for purchase through the festival’s official website, BreckFilm.com, for a limited time and provide access to a curated selection of feature films, documentaries, short films, and special events, all set in picturesque Breckenridge.
