Colorado Ski Country USA Passport Program Registration Now Open

On August 25, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced that registration for the 5th and 6th Grade Passport Program is now open. The Passport Program introduces students to either skiing or snowboarding, and allows access to twenty of Colorado’s ski resorts. Fifth graders who register for the Passport Program receive free access to the twenty ski areas and sixth graders have discounted access to the resorts.

Often imitated, the CSCUSA Passport Programs provides kids with the opportunity to be introduced to the sport, and then to potentially become avid skiers or snowboarders. Fifth graders receive three free days at any of the twenty Colorado resorts, and sixth graders get four days at any of the twenty resorts for $99. Also, this year’s Passport holders have one free day of ski or snowboard equipment rental from a new sponsor, Christy Sports.

If a fifth grade student is planning to learn how to ski or snowboard for the first time this winter season, the First Class lesson program is partnered with the Passport Program so kids can be taught from some of the best instructors in the state. Kids participating in the 5th grade Passport Program who have never skied or snowboarded before can receive a free lesson with free equipment during January. Advanced reservations are required for those who qualify for the First Class lesson program, and registration for this opens in November.

“As the ski industry’s first and most influential program of its kind, Colorado Ski Country’s Passport Programs have introduced an entire generation of Colorado kids to skiing and snowboarding,” said Melanie Mills, president and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA. “The Passport Program allows families to tour Colorado’s wonderfully diverse ski areas at a great value. The First Class Lesson program ensures that beginner skiers and snowboarders experience their memorable first day on the slopes in the care of expert professional instructors.”
