A blanket of clouds on my flight’s descent veiled my first views of Montana’s Glacier National Park and the small ski town of Whitefish that loomed below. It’s almost as if even Mother Nature wanted to keep this beautiful gem of a mountain town a secret — only unveiling the area’s natural beauty for those who would truly appreciate it. 360-degree epic views capped off with a big starry night sky set the pace each day — tourists and locals alike checking time by the shadows on Big Mountain and the number of stars in the sky.
