Not much beats a perfect day up at Grand Lake hiking, fishing and even camping if you’re lucky enough to nab the backcountry spot for Spirit Lake or Lake Verna. Once you get past the falls the trail opens up with less people traffic and gives you some supreme views to boot.
Be aware of your surroundings and remember that moose are in the area. Just like other large wild animals, keep your distance and use the zoom lens instead of traipsing right up to one.
