Postcards From the Weekend: Moody Mountains

And the rain came down, sometimes in torrents, sometimes like a slowly descending veil delicately draping itself over each little colorful wildflower and glistening stone on the surrounding mountainsides. It rained in the morning, and in the evenings. It rained throughout dinner, and its steady song whispered a lullaby deep into the night. But finally, one morning, the rain stopped — leaving behind dewy meadows and a wistful low-hanging fog that filtered out the harsh light from an eager early morning sun — transforming the entire landscape into a dream-like scene from a well-illustrated fairytale.
