Beer and the Great Outdoors: a relationship that’s turned pretty serious in the past decade—and one that was on full display at this year’s 35th annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. Over the weekend, craft beer aficionados toting plastic tasting cups, pretzel necklaces and dwindling levels of sobriety, fanned out throughout the Colorado Convention Center, tasting beers from 800 breweries and feeling right at home in the many nature-inspired brewery booths. From airstream trailers equipped with draft systems, to Uinta Brewing’s national park-themed yurt/booth, to the 10 Barrel Brewing booth streaming adventure videos, this year’s GABF was kind of like a sweet, little hallmark card celebrating one of the best relationships out their today.
