On Saturday, August 14, 2021, Grand County’s Winter Park will host the 18th Annual Blues from the Top (BFTT) ‘Day of Blues’ from 11AM-7PM at the Rendezvous Event Center at Hideaway Park.
The outdoor festival vibe is unlike any other in the county. Centrally located in downtown Winter Park, BFTT has grown into a truly unique and welcoming blues and roots music event nestled below the Continental Divide and iconic Colorado ridgelines. Of course, while the views and energy around the event alone can draw you in, headliner acts including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Sugaray Rayford, Eric Gales, Ruthie Foster and A.J. Fullerton are sure to make it an even memorable night!
Dedicated Blues fans might be surprised by the date of this year’s event. The annual fundraiser and festival was rescheduled last year due to COVID-19 and was moved from the historical June dates to ensure the safest possible environment. This one-time change is only for the 2021 event and fans can expect the traditional June dates to resume in 2022.
Tickets are now available, including both VIP ($75) – with prime seating, private bathrooms and private bar – and General Admission ($65) options. Kids under 12 are free (General Admission, only) with an adult ticket purchase.
It goes without saying, but this musical event could not happened without the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS). Established in 2002, the non-profit (501c3) organization works to promote “The Blues” by providing educational events and hosting live performances featuring blues musicians. BFTT is one of several fundraising events led by GCBS and this year’s primary beneficiary is Blue Star Connection, an organization aimed at providing instruments to over 65 Children’s Hospitals to help support music therapy departments and initiatives.
Mark your calendars, grab your tickets at www.bluesfromthetop.org and get ready for an incredible show!
