Your Next Outdoor Destination

Hey, all you outdoor enthusiasts. Good news: we found your next outdoor destination — and the
perfect time to visit it.

First, the destination. Nestled into the towering Spanish Peaks and expansive mesas of
Southern Colorado, there’s a hidden cycling gem, and it might just be North American cycling’s
best-kept secret.

Trinidad, Colorado — or, as we like to call it, TriniRAD, ColoRADo — is the ideal spot for
cyclists, paddlers, hikers, climbers and campers alike. Just three hours from Denver,
Albuquerque and West Texas, Trinidad has everything from craft beer and fresh coffee to
sunrise paddle boarding and Tony Hawk’s signature skate park. If it’s rad, it’s in Trinidad.

Which brings us to Part 2, the event. On October 8, 2022, the same people behind the
Leadville Race Series, Sea Otter Classic and Garmin UNBOUND Gravel are gathering gravel
grinders in Trinidad for the Life Time Rad Dirt Fest presented by Wahoo Fitness.

Channel your rad and rowdy rider for an epic weekend of stunning scenery, palate-pleasing
restaurants, and miles and miles of high-alpine desert riding. Personalize your riding experience
with a variety of uniquely beautiful treks through the Purgatoire River Valley:

  • For gravel riding newbies, The Rad’s 38-mile ride (The Frijole) is the perfect first race to dip your toes into the gravelly goodness.
  • If you’re out to take the next step — or you’re a fan of animal puns — you can upgrade to the Anteloop (99 miles).
  • If you’re the kind of gravel grinder who some might call “a little insane,” Stubborn Dolores (165 miles) is calling.

Whether you’re looking to train for your fall calendar of events or just want to close out the
cycling season with a good time on two wheels, you’ll find it this fall in Trinidad. The weekend
kicks off with a pair of Shake Out Rides on Friday (October 7) before gearing up the action with
Saturday’s (October 8) trio of gravelly, elevated events. Before, in-between and after, riders can
catch the rich history, vibrant architecture and a thriving art scene of this adventurist getaway.

If you love the outdoors, you’ll love Trinidad. If you love bikes (and you love tire-shredding
gravel), you’ll love the Rad.

Spots are still available to ride the Rad on October 8 — but they’re filling up quickly. Snag your
spot for a fall weekend in Trinidad online today.
